How To Have Great Skin
Have you ever wondered how to have great skin without paying a bomb for painful lazer or resurfacing procedures? Truthfully, the idea of walking into a surgery and getting a procedure done is very tempting but the price is a turn off and things can and do go wrong.
We all want naturally great skin. Clear, flawless skin is ideal as when your skin is that good, you don’t need a lot of makeup. For those of us who do wear a lot of makeup (like me!) my life would be a heck of a lot easier if didn’t have to apply so much on a daily basis.
Contouring and camouflaging takes time and if you are rushed in the morning it’s not very practical. As a mother I don’t have time to contour and camouflage in the morning…but I still want my skin and face to look good and I do apply foundation, concealer and eye makeup.
Fortunately we can get smoother, clearer skin without surgery by using great Korean skin care products.
But we also need to take note of our nutrition and the food we are eating. What we eat affects our skin, I don’t just mean junk food. Yes sure living off fried foods and packed foods will make you fat and probably give you pimples, but a lack of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants will eventually show on your face after a certain age. Mid life women know what I am talking about. Once your headed towards tour 40’s and beyond, food and its nutritional supply becomes important.
So lets look at non surgical and non product strategies that can help us improve our skin.
5 Natural Ways To Have Great Skin
1. Eat lots of fruits and veggies
Remember the time when you hated your mom because she forced you to eat broccoli? Turns out, she was right all along about green veggies all along. Fruits and veggies like guava, kiwi fruits, strawberries, broccoli, greens etc. are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. More vitamins is better for your body and better for your skin. You can easily incorporate more fruit and vegetables into your diet by juicing or by making a smoothie.
2.Drink lots of water
It is known that drinking at least eight glasses of water each day helps get rid our body and skin of harmful toxins. Drinking adequate amount of water helps in blood circulation, digestion, and excretion, all of which contribute to better skin.
Water helps to hydrate us from the inside out. Drinking an adequate amount of water helps to reduce wrinkling and skin sagging. Hydrated skin is plumper and fuller, so be sure to drink enough water every day.
3.Don’t forget to remove makeup at night
Double cleanse your skin at night to get rid of all the makeup, grime and impurities from the day. You will be surprised how much is on your skin even if you wear no makeup.
4.Sleep More Stress Less
Everyone is better with an adequate amount of sleep. Lack of sleep makes you grumpy, slows your reflexes and does not give your body enough time to regenerate and renew. Lack of sleep will release a higher level of cortisol in the body (the stress hormone). Lack of sleep definitely shows on your face. As women we need our sleep, especially at that time of the month. Then as we get to middle aged and hormonal changes start to happen, you will find that sleep is precious!
Also work on reducing or eliminating stress in your life. Have you ever had someone tell you that you always look upset or stressed? The reason why is that you always have a frown on your face because you are so stressed out! You can’t carry on like this for too long, otherwise your face, your body or your mind will pay the price. Get life under control as soon as you can.
5.Eat Less Sugar
As you get older sugar wreaks havoc on your body. Sugar as been called the ‘Wrinkle Maker’ and it causes inflammation in the body that leads to more wrinkles. Read more at Total Dermatology.
Getting youthful and the radiant skin does not have to be complicated or expensive, but you do have to be mindful of what you are putting in your mouth as well as what you use on your skin. Korean beauty care can help you get your skin into top shape. If you have a skin care routine that you follow and use decent products but your skin is not glowing or hydrated then you need to assess your water intake and what you are eating. Obviously smoking and drinking are not great for your skin, but not eating nutrient rich foods will eventually show on your face.
